Reverend Eulon Brown, Sr.

Reverend Eulon Brown, Sr. started his career as a Pastor in 1949 and served in many churches until his passing in 2019. He organized Loyalty Missionary Baptist Church in 1976 and served there for the remainder of his career. He attended Southern Baptist Seminary and Conroe College at night where he studied theology and the King James version of the Bible. He worked an 8 hour day job at a lumber yard in Giddings, TX to support his family while attending school while also serving as a pastor. On Sundays he would take up donations for a scholarship fund to help young people in his community so they could attend school. Education was very important to him. Later in his career, he served as the Dean of the St. John Landmark District in Austin. He taught the Word to clergyman all over the state of Texas, where he was labeled “The Walking Bible” to all who studied under him.

This scholarship was established in his memory to honor his commitment to education and to assist students who have been in the foster care system, other residential care, adopted, or in custody of Child Protective Services
