Nancy & Hardie Bowman

Nancy and Hardie Bowman loved Austin and made it their permanent home since the late 1940’s. Both were heavily involved in the Austin community through West Lake Hills Presbyterian Church, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, the Junior League, Austin Parks Foundation, and the Austin History Center Association. Married for 54 years until Hardie’s death in 2003, they valued their long Austin Heritage. Nancy continued to be involved in community organizations until she passed away in 2012. Their scholarship focusing on single mothers was established in 1998 and has assisted 139 students since that time.
