Abdul Subhani

Mr. Abdul Subhani is a distinguished leader in IT and a firm believer in the power of higher education and the community college. As founder and President/CEO of Centex Technologies, an IT Consulting Company, he is seen as a worldwide expert in ethical hacking, business intelligence, data breaches, internet marketing, cyber security, IT auditing, and social media assessment and auditing.

He served as an adjunct faculty member for 17 years with Central Texas College and 12 years with Texas A&M University-Central Texas. During this time, Mr. Subhani developed numerous non-credited computer courses for the Continuing Education Department.
His passion for teaching and learning started at a young age. As a child, Mr. Subhani engaged in numerous community service projects and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. After completing high school, he attended a local community college and proceeded to earn a master’s degree in Information Systems where he received numerous academic achievements and recognitions.

He has been awarded the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the NAACP, President’s Student Service Award in recognition of outstanding community service, Outstanding Achievement for Youth award from the Central Texas Youth Coalition Incredible Kids Celebration, State of Texas Small Business Award from the Office of the Governor and Texas Workforce Commission, and is a recipient of the 40 under 40 award from Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. Mr. Subhani also was honored with the 2018 Best of Small Business CEO of the Year award and recognized on the Inc 5000 list for operating one of the fastest-growing companies of 2018 and 2020.

His contributions to the community continue today. Mr. Subhani serves on the Board of Directors for the Austin Community College Foundation and is a member of the Exchange Club, Austin Area Research Organization, Advent Health Hospital Community Advisory Board, Texas A&M University-Central Texas Foundation Board, Cabinet member of the Chancellor’s Council of the Texas A&M University System, and was most recently appointed to the Yale School of Management Chief Executive Leadership Institute – CEO Caucus.

In appreciation of his service, the Exchange Club awarded Mr. Subhani the Golden Deeds Award for his various charitable efforts, and in 2020, the Secretary of the Army appointed Mr. Subhani to be the Civilian Aide for the Texas – Capital Region.

Scholarships
